My second experience seeing Aziza perform and taking workshop with her.
Brilliant. A consummate professional with a fantastic sense of humour who makes everything look so effortless.
I think one of the favourite things I will take away from the weekend is Aziza talking about letting the wonder and awe of what you are doing show through in your dancing. She also spoke about the fact that we dance what we practice (I am sure I remember her saying the same thing two years ago). Only five and a half years in for me re dancing but I know exactly what she means and I hope that I am improving in technique, presentation and style and I do strive to practice and drill the way I would perform for an audience.
But I have to admit a huge struggle for me are cross step turns. I just can't seem to find the right technique to maintain my equilibrium. Not having any other kind of dance training I have been working and experimenting with this for a long time. Aziza makes if look so easy!
