I just got back from a crazy week in Duisburg :-)
Aziza, if you're reading this, I hope you had a safe trip home, and I'd like to THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU again for your dedication to this dance form and your generosity in and out of class.
I learned so much and I had such a good time.. and after sleeping and lazing about for 2 days now I am energized to go learn some more ;-)
I took the arms and hands workshop for the 3rd time this year...
But still, ouch, this one really kicked my uh.. fingers :-P
All Aziza's workshops were great (especially the traveling steps, got some stuff to work on there :-) and I also loved Hinds salsa fusion and Sharon Kihara's conditioning and technique
And ..Their performances at the gala show ROCKED as well :-)
I'm very grateful I got to be there..
So.. who else was there?
And what did ya think?

Thu, December 6, 2007 - 3:12 AMI was there for five Aziza workshops and am only starting to recover ;). No seriously, my right hand kept on shaking after the arms and hands workshop!
I found all the workshops very inspiring (not to mention very good workouts ;) ), I just can't stop practising all the new things I've learned. Especially the undulation workshop (ouch!) has given me some stuff to work on, see if I can get my belly to actually move!
I'm already looking forward to when Aziza comes to Belgium in the spring -I guess I'll see you there Khalida? :) . And indeed, we were all awed again by Aziza' s energetic performance at the gala show, she was amazing -as usual!
I took some of Hind's workshops too and I really liked her style, so I'm hoping to see some more of her as well. And her first costume for the gala show was absolutely breathtaking!
And last but not least: rising star at the gala show was of course our very own Khalida! Go girl!!
And thank you Aziza for another wonderful experience!!

Fri, December 7, 2007 - 4:38 PMI meant to go to the arms and hands and later to Hind's fusion workshop but I had injured my foot so bad I couldn't walk for a week there, dance a lot less.
